Our Vision

Philos Hospitality, Inc. is a Christian faith-based nonprofit agency providing a ‘home away from home’ for families caring for loved ones in medical crisis. What began 10 years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma is now exploring opportunities to expand its mission to serve Oklahoma City and Muskogee communities as they welcome and receive families from all across Oklahoma who have to travel for access to medical care.

We believe that true Biblical hospitality, Hakhnasat-orhim in the Hebrew, and PhiloXenia in the Greek, is practiced by God’s people toward everyone as they pass through a community in need of lodging and food. We see examples of this in the scripture such as Exodus 23:9, Romans 12:13, Hebrews 13:2, and Matthew 25:31-46.

Our vision is to show the world Christian Love through Boundless Hospitality.

Programs include:

  • Family Medical Lodging in a home-like setting
  • Hotel Extension Programs near hospital campuses
  • Day Rooms
  • Meals
  • Prayer Support
  • Transportation Assistance
  • Health and Caregiving Education
  • Community Connection Resources

Through her own personal experience with medical crisis and her experience in healthcare administration, Toni stepped out in faith in 2004, and along with her friend, Brooke Gage, founded Hospitality House of Tulsa based on principles found in the Biblically defined practice of hospitality. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Information Systems, Mrs. Moore served fifteen years in hospital administration.

Toni also serves as a board member for the Healthcare Hospitality Network which provides education, networking and certification resources to over 200 hospital hospitality houses nationwide. She speaks locally and nationally to healthcare entities, churches, and corporations regarding hospitality within healthcare, Biblical hospitality, and the ministry of hospitality. Toni and her team are dedicated to solving Oklahoma’s patient and caregiver lodging problem, and significantly reducing families’ out of pocket expenses while improving outcomes for Oklahoma hospitals through Boundless Hospitality.

In July of 2016, Hospitality House of Tulsa became Philos Hospitality, Inc. With 42 Oklahoma rural hospitals at risk of closing, Philos Hospitality, Inc. is now poised to answer the call for more healthcare hospitality solutions across Oklahoma and beyond. This multi-city, multi-model solution provides excellent outcomes for the patient, the caregiver, and the healthcare system.

Since opening in 2006, Philos Hospitality, Inc. has served over 2,800 families from all 77 counties in Oklahoma, 47 states and districts, and 7 foreign countries. Toni considers it a privilege to serve families in medical crisis through this ministry of hospitality.
