FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Whether you are a guest, referral partner, or someone who wants to learn more about Philos Hospitality, we want to answer all of your questions and give you the information you need.   • Who can stay at Hospitality House?
    The Hospitality House of Tulsa serves family members of inpatients hospitalized in any Tulsa hospital. The family and patient must live farther than 30 miles outside of the greater Tulsa area to qualify to stay at Hospitality House. Outpatients and their caregiver may also stay at Hospitality House, but must live farther than 50 miles outside the Tulsa Metro area. Philos Hospitality, Inc. d/b/a Hospitality House of Tulsa does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
  • How much does it cost to stay at Hospitality House?
    In order to keep our services available to approximately 450 families each year, the following room donation policy has been adopted for our facilities and programs: Suggested Room Donation is $50/night for the first 5 nights. After 5 nights, suggested donation rate drops to $40/night. Guests who are not able to afford the suggested room donation amount will be asked to complete a Family Assistance Program questionnaire to help determine the level of room discount they qualify for. The qualification questions and income tables are based on current Federal Poverty Guidelines. Their application will be reviewed by Hospitality House staff and determination of their suggested donation amount will be approved the same day. The minimum room donation amount is $5.00 per night. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
  • Can families make a reservation at Hospitality House?
    We operate on a referral basis from healthcare professionals associated with all Tulsa Hospitals. Please talk with a case manager, nurse, physician, or hospital chaplain about your family’s need to stay in Tulsa near your hospitalized patient. The healthcare professional can then call our main number at 918-794-0088 and place your family’s name on our waiting list.
  • How is Hospitality House funded?
    We are funded by individuals, foundations, churches, and businesses. Hospitality House does not receive any federal funding.
  • Who can stay at Lodgingly?
    Lodgingly welcomes families/caregivers who have a hospitalized loved one in any of the Tulsa-area hospitals. Outpatients receiving medical care in any Tulsa-area facility are also welcome to stay. All ages of patients, any diagnosis category, and every Tulsa-area hospital is served at Lodgingly. Guests must be receiving medical treatment in Tulsa, Oklahoma or be a caregiver to a hospitalized loved one in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Non-medical stays are not eligible.
  • Where is Lodgingly located?
    Lodgingly partners with local hotels in Tulsa, Oklahoma that are close in proximity to medical facilities so families are able to be close to their hospitalized patient and/or the medical care they need. To learn more about the hotels we are currently partnered with, click here.
  • How much does it cost to stay at Lodgingly?
    Facing a medical crisis away from home can be a financial challenge for many families, so we strive to offer the most competitive hotel rates to our guests. You will find that our prices are lower than third party travel sites and standard hotel medical discounts. The cost per room and per stay will vary based on the dates needed, hotel location, and length of stay.
  • Why is sales tax exempt when booking with Lodgingly?
    In addition to discounted rates, rooms booked through Lodgingly are exempt from sales tax. Because Philos Hospitality’s mission provides medical lodging for pediatric and adult patient families, the state of Oklahoma has given a sales tax exemption to our nonprofit corporation. Therefore, we do not pass on sales tax to our guests, which further decreases their out of pocket expenses while traveling.
  • I'm a medical provider or medical personnel... How do I refer patients to Lodgingly?
    It's easy, the first step is to sign up as a Lodgingly Referral Partner HERE. After we receive your information, we will be in contact with you about next steps and give you all the information you need, including information on how to direct guests to book.
  • What types of medical situations does Lodgingly serve?
    Lodgingly serves patients and their caregivers in a wide variety of medical situations, including, but not limited to: Oncology, Chemotherapy, Radiation, Cancer Treatment Organ Transplants ie., Kidney Transplants, Tissue Transplants, Bone Marrow Transplants Mental Health Care Elective Procedures and Surgeries Dental Procedures Vision, Eye Procedures Emergency Medical Service Pediatric Care NICU, Neonatal Care Rehabilitation Heart Surgery Brain Surgery Lung Surgery Burn Patients Orthopedic Surgery ie., Joint Replacement Surgery, Back Surgery, etc. Physical Therapy And More!
  • How will my card be charged when I book through Lodgingly?
    Guest room and applicable taxes/assessments will be billed through Lodgingly, along with any Paid Add-On Services Lodgingly offers that the guest utilizes. Paid Add-On Services include transportation and pet boarding. Pet Friendly rooms are available at the hotel for an additional fee paid to the hotel directly. Free Add-On Services through Lodgingly include prayer support, a list of restaurants in the area who offer discounts to Lodgingly guests, as well as access to our Care Team. Your Credit or Debit card that was given at the time of booking will be authorized 1 day prior to arrival for the full amount of room and applicable taxes. The card will be charged the morning of check out and you will be emailed a receipt. A credit or debit card will be required at check-in at the Front Desk of the hotel for any hotel incidental charges and will be authorized by the hotel.
